Mission Statement

The mission of Mission to North America Disaster Response is to coordinate the response of the Presbyterian Church in America to disasters in the United States and Canada as assigned by the General Assembly.

Often when disaster strikes local churches and presbyteries are overwhelmed and seek assistance. MNA Disaster Response stands ready to recruit and coordinate volunteers, provide site management, appeal for recovery funds, assist with distribution of supplies, and equipment, as well as to channel prayer focus and spiritual encouragement upon the request of the local presbytery and church leadership.

Vision

The vision of Mission to North America Disaster Response is to see every PCA member, church and presbytery prepared for the certain coming disaster.

This vision is accomplished through pre-disaster training, equipping God’s people to reach out with Christ’s love, and facilitating a robust volunteer mobilization to disaster-affected communities.

Me

My name is Andy Eisenbraun I am the Disaster Response Specialist for the Midwest on staff with Mission to North America (MNA).  I grew up in St. Louis, MO just 2 miles north of the Arch and live in the city still.  I joined MNA Disaster Response in 2012 and have a passion to see the PCA ready and active in Disaster Response.

I am currently working with the following Presbyteries:

Chicago Metro, Heartland, Illiana, Missouri, Northern Illinois, Sioux, Wisconsin

There are no D.R. Specialists west of me other than Oklahoma and Texas covered by Rick Lenz and I may reach up into Minisota at some point as well but don't let any of that stop you from giving me a call.  I'm always glad to talk Disaser Response!

I am still doing this part time but actively seeking to raise support to go full time in 2020.
